2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
The 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is a great pickup truck for towing things. It has intuitive technology and a wide range of powerful engines. But it doesn't have the best interior or ride quality compared to other full-size trucks.
How Much Does the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Cost
The Silverado has a starting price of $29,300. That's a little less than most other full-size trucks. If you want a Double Cab Silverado, the price starts at $33,200. But if you want a Crew Cab model, it will start at $35,600. At the top of the trim lineup is the Silverado High Country.
It starts at $53,900. That's one of the lower prices for a top-of-the-line truck. You can save money on your new Silverado with our U.S. News Best Price Program. You can also find great manufacturer incentives on our Chevrolet deals page.
How Much Does It Cost to Insure a Chevrolet Silverado 1500

Silverado 1500 Performance: Powerful, With Plenty of Capability
Silverado Engine
The Chevrolet Silverado comes with a 285-horsepower engine. There are other engines available, too. These include a 310-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder, a 355-horsepower V8, 420-horse power V8 and 277-horsepower turbodiesel.
The best choice for driving around normally is the four-cylinder car because it is quick and good for towing things like boats. The diesel car can also tow things but takes time to get up to speed. The V8 cars are the best all-around engine because they are good for driving quickly and also tow well (boats).
Silverado Gas Mileage
The Silverado's MPG ratings are different. With the turbo-four, this Chevy gets 20 mpg in the city and 23 mpg on the highway, which are good ratings for the full-size pickup truck class. If you want better fuel economy but have a bigger engine, opt for the 5.3-liter V8.
The Silverado's base V6 engine only has 17/23 mpg city/highway, but if you want better fuel economy with a smaller engine then go for an option with diesel at 23/33 mpg city/highway.
Silverado Ride and Handling
This is a big truck, but it is still fairly easy to drive around. The truck can go even on small streets and pretty much anywhere. It does not have good handling for turns though, but the ride is usually comfortable.
Silverado Off-Road Performance
Every Chevrolet Silverado can go on four wheels. Most trims have the Z71 package, which makes them better at going off-road. If you want to go off-road a lot, you should get the Trim Trail Boss.
Silverado Towing Capacity
When you have a Silverado, it can tow up to 13,300 pounds and haul up to 2,280 pounds. Your engine choice affects how much it can tow and carry. Most Silverado can carry more than 2,000 pounds and tow at least 9,000 pounds.
Silverado Interior
The silverado has an excellent interior. The dashboard doesn't have cheap-looking plastic which is common in most other pickup trucks.
The silverado has the latest technology, including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. You can upgrade to Chevrolet's infotainment system that let you use popular apps like Pandora and Yelp on your car's touchscreen.
It also comes with a large number of vents so if you or your front seat passengers get too hot or too cold there will be a vent for them at their fingertips. This truck has plenty of space inside, but if you need more room then go for a bigger silverado because they have more features than the smaller ones do.
